Question: 97 Honda Accord EX

I have a 1997 Honda Accord sedan, 4dr, EX, auto trans. I am being told that I need a new transmission. I trust that I do, but am concerned as to whether or not I am receiving a fair quote. Could you give me a range of what replacing the transmission would cost?
