2007 Pontiac G6, 4 cyl. engine. About 4 and a half quarts of 5W30 motor oil. Only use 5W30 motor oil for summer or winter. Make sure the motor oil has the star burst symbol on the front label and says American Petroleum Institute Certified. Then buy the cheapest motor oil that you can find. You DO NOT have to change the oil every 3000 miles. It will last much longer. Make sure you reset the oil change % of life left after changing the oil.
