Question: How rid entertainment monitor of directional icon?

There is a directional icon ( N for North, S for South,etc) which is always present in the lower left hand corner of my entertainment module screen in the center of my dashboard and it changes constantly as my car changes directions ( which can be 20 times just in a walmart parking lot! ) . Is there a way to get rid of it's constant presence on my screen?
