well it would depend. are they all store bought dvds or did you burn them?

I have the same issue. It is very selective on what movies it will play. I took it to the dealer when it was under warranty but they didn't do anything to help. Have you had any luck with finding a resolution?

when you took it in the dealer say why it was like that? or did they pretty much say not our problem? does it give an error like unable to read disc or anything like that? check to see if there are any marks on the disc it might just be really sensitive.
