Question: I have a chirping sound I hear when driving

I have a chirping sound , I hear when driving; I'm sure its not coming from the brakes; I just recently had an Idler Pulley replaced. Any suggestions? Thanks!

i just took my 96 Cherokee in for an oil change and the mechanic told me that it was my U joint used by the 4 wheel drive system, to allow the wheels to rotate and still be able to move up and down. he said that the joint was loos and had to be replaced. i have no knowledge of hoe to fix it he said it would cost 400-500 if every thing went smoothly.

I have this same problem on my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Someone told me it was a cracked boot. And while the boot is cheap (20 bucks a set) to replace it will cost $350+ because they have to take everything apart.
