Question: low engine power

my traction control kicked on and took my engine on my 2004 pontiac grand prix to low power. the engine wouldn't let me get higher than 35 mph. the computer was reset but the engine is still in a low power mode. the garage has had it for 10 days and still no resolution. any suggestions?

My 2000 Firebird had the same thing happen it was a sensor from the gas pedal mine would do after it would run hot for a while, it cost me $700.00 to get the sensor replaced but the problem has been fixed now for 5 months.
