Question: my car doesnt always start in the morning
my car acts like it wants to start, but just wont turn over. Starter is OK, battery is OK, just won't crank over. Then it smells like gas. Once it starts in the day, there aren't any further issues. My mechanic says to hold down the accelerator all the way until car starts, and then rev it for a few seconds because to much gas is getting into the cylinders. Then when I shut it down to hold the pedal all the way down for a few seconds to let all the gas evaporate.
I am still having problems and it wouldn't start at all yesterday. the emisions workshop light comes on intermittently but nothing seems to be wrong with it when plugged into the computer!! HELP
