Question: servicing the transmission

Our Saturn has the 3.5 V6 Honda engine. One service person said not to flush the transmission, just change the filter and fluid. The next person said to flush it and don't change the filter. I just want to do 100,000 mile maintenance and am not having transmission problems. What is the right things to do?

Just had my mechanic check with a factory tech as I thought I might change to a synthetic tranny oil for potentially better life (124,000 miles so far) as I tow a 16.5 ft aluminum boat. Tech advised against the change, said to continue to use factory recommend oil and keep proper levels.
