Question: Timing Belt.

Just purchased 2002 Camry w/95k mi. What's the easiest way to find out if timing belt was changed at 90 k mi.? No info available from CarFax or dealer I purchased from.

My understanding is that if you have the 4 cylinder engine, you have a timing chain. The 6-cylinder engine has the belt. Hopefully, you have a 4-cylinder.

I recently found out that my 2002 Camry has a chain rather than a belt, I am delighted to know this. I called the dealer and he told me to look at the valve cover and if it sayss "V V T-i " then you are good to go.
