Question: why does the battery go dead in my 2007 Lexus RX 350 after 15 minutes of using emergency flashers?

I have used emergency flashers three times since buying this car new in 2007 and each time, after 15 minutes, the battery died but the flashers continued to operate. Technician said each time that the battery needed a charge. I have not had it taken out of the vehicle and charged, Should I do this or buy a new battery?
