10 Bizarre Auto Accidents

This year, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety is celebrating its 50th year devoted to automotive safety. To celebrate this milestone we thought it would be appropriate to show off 10 of the most bizarre car accidents we could find. You say sensational, we say topical! But don’t worry, no one was harmed in the making of these accidents.

This is a little awkward, but you've got something...right there, in your headlight.

This deckhand does not approve of the cut of your jib. Neither do we.

Apparently the driver of this Subaru backed out of his driveway only to hit the gas instead of the brake. The placement of the brick is to ensure a good photo-op.

The massive metal structure in the rearview mirror might have been a clue that the truck bed was still raised. Just a thought.

The driver of this Fiat lost control, hit a bump and crashed into the side of a house. Must have been quite a bump.

Both drivers were unsure of how exactly this happened. It's reported that Austin Powers may have been involved though.

The debate can finally be laid to rest: God loves soccer and hates BMWs.

After a vigorous application of the brakes, they’ve now got space for two boats!

Maybe Earth doesn't like compact cars as much as we thought.
