"Our 2007 Audi A4 has been a really good car. It is really fun to drive. Purchased as a CPO with 4K miles in 2008, we now have 55K miles on it. At first it seemed to be using a little too much oil (about 2 qt between 5K oil changes0, but that has leveled out to about 1 qt between oil changes. We just took the A4 on a 1000 mile round trip down to New Orleans from Atlanta. It handled great! The A4 is stable on the highway and gets excellent gas mileage. We averaged 33.5 MPG at about 75 MPH. I think that it could get 35 MPG if I could keep the speed down. With an 18.5 gallon fuel tank this car can easily travel 550 miles without stopping for gas. Generally, we take our Audi A6 when we travel down to New Orleans because our 5' 10" inch daughter says that there is not a lot of room in the rear set of the A4. However, with her being away at college, we were able to take the A4. I think the A4 would be great family car for families with young children.I enjoy driving at just as much as I enjoy the A6. They are both great handling cars with slightly different driving characteristics. In the 6 years and 51K miles that I have owned the A4, I have replaced my tires twice on the A4. They seem to wear out a little fast, but this may be my personal driving characteristics. Most of my driving is done in the city with short weekend drives in the suburbs.Overall, I average 23.5 MPG."
