Our '98 was purchased after being a rental car had 39,000 miles, I was initially cautious but no more, this car has been very reliable. Just passed 163.000 and the 2.2 liter still gets 33 mpg (without air on) and about 28 with air. Had a slight stutter when idling but replaced of-brand spark plugs....

133,000 miles on it and it still runs great other than the air conditioning doesn't work. If you havent owned anything but a 4 cyl. it has a lot of power for one.
