"Very powerful for a 1.4L engine -- more get-up-and-go than a normally-aspirated 2.5L equivalent in other makes and models. No problem keeping up with any other vehicle on steep freeway hills. Great economy and range; on a long trip I can get upwards of 550 miles on a tank of gas. Best of both worlds.Has a parasitic vibration coming from the interior dome light when going over rough roads, a plastic-on-plastic "buzz". My only quality complaint.Dual dry clutch transmission works well and nicer to drive than a fluid coupling once you get used to it. However, the shift is too soft and could be more assertive, like the car's European equivalents are programmed.Engine sound is like a nest of angry hornets when the turbocharger kicks in. Could be quieter, or tuned to be less shrill. Turbo "lag" is well managed and throttle characteristics are easy to adjust to.Tight body feel.Outstanding brakes -- very firm, assertive stop without grabbing. We bought the Dart after looking at all equivalents (Civic, Cruze, Focus, Corolla, Versa, etc.). Had initially expected to buy a Honda Civic, but the Dart runs rings around it in every way. It's hard to believe I don't see more Darts on the road -- a diamond waiting to be discovered. You did a fantastic job on the design."
