I got sucked in because, at first, the Kia Sedona seems like a good vehicle . I remember that it won awards at the begining in safety. It won 5 stars in this field and I believed it at first.

I have a KIA Sedona LE and what went wrong with mine is this:

Gas Gauge –The gauge drives me insane since it will never show that the gas tank is full even when I have put and filled the tank of gas. It always stays at midway until I would drive around for a few minutes. Even so, the gauge won't ever be full on the gauge.

Sliding Doors – Both of the outside handles on them, are broken. This has happened in normal use and not by "slamming" or hanging from the handles. Furthermore, the doors sometimes stay locked with the child proof lock I guess.

Power Windows - Front passenger power window is so slow that it seems like the battery of the car is dead; however, the one on the driver's seat is just fine. T

Windshield Wipers – The one on the back window has fallen off quite a few times.

Oil Usage – It burns way too much oil and it won't give me a warning of it. If I don't check my oil continuously, I find out that I don't have much in the engine and it's all burned.

Air Conditioner – Leaked refrigerant slowly and then ceased to function.

Engine –The Engine Light comes on very easily and will stay on for weeks at the time.

Lighter sockets- None of the plugs (holes) around the car work at all - None of them!

Alternator – This malfunctioned, requiring replacement of alternator twice. This happened when the van was about 3 months old.

Engine Power – I never understood why my van which is virtually new, compared to many cars, doesn't have the power that it should. When I go up on hills it's murder on the car and the engine. It feels like I'm dragging a house with a bicycle

Sun Visors – Plastic broke causing mirror covers to fall out. They had to be replaced 3 times.


These are just some of the most obvious reasons why I regret purchasing this vehicle.
