  • "I'm a "hyper-miler" so I get over 50 mpg with my Prius. Had it for 6 years now and it's been very reliable and needed just the scheduled maintenance. It's a great car and helps reduce your carbon footprint. Comfortable on long trips, and has enough cargo space for normal trips, etc. One must be careful, however, when shutting the engine off. You have to press that power button firmly or the engine won't shut down. A couple of times I've been in a rush, and left the car, thinking I shut it down, only to return hours later to find the engine idling away. Not good. They should have a warning buzzer or beep every time you leave the car with the engine running."
