My car was in the service bay and I was asked to step out to the service area. The mechanic began to explain "according to the sticker on your windshield, your car is way overdue for an oil change". He removed the dipstick and said "I recommend a flush of your oil system due to the dark honey color of your oil". I explained the sticker was old and that it's normal used oil to change in color and I just wanted a normal oil change.
After paying, I was 2 miles down the road and black smoke began to billow into my car from the air vents and engulfed my car from the outside. I pulled into a shopping center and lifted the hood. Oil was everywhere! I called the shop that performed my oil change and asked someone to come inspect my car. The gentleman who did the service showed up and told me he spilled oil because of where my filter is located. He also told me he washed the residual oil off with water. I watched him perform the oil change and never saw any water go near my car. I also had to ask him to check the oil in the parking lot to make sure my car still had oil.
Needless to say, I will not be back to this location. I feel they are not qualified to handle a simple oil change and I will will just do it myself.
