Once again, I realized why I hate the process of buying a vehicle. We were looking to upgrade my wife into a larger SUV. We really liked the Infiniti QX56 and we were looking at some new ones, but we preferred the one with a bench seat on second row rather than captain chair's. Sales person checked and they had a a slightly used one that was a 2012 with about 16K miles. We liked the color and everything that it had and decided to move forward with it. Doing the financing on their end took a lot longer than expected, it was then close to closing time. As we wrapped up all the paperwork, it was snowing extremely hard and they pulled the car around front and basically said here's the keys and we were pretty much pushed out the door. Later, we had noticed that the middle bench seat did not have a head rest in the seat. We looked all over the car for itand could not find it I called the salesman and asked about that and the missing DVD remote. He said the car was sold as is. While I understand that I purchased a used car, I figured buying it from the Infiniti dealership would be better than buying it from "Bob's Used Car" lot and there would have been some type of "pre-owned certification" from a dealership but I guess not. I can understand that the remote for the DVD was probably lost and considered an accessory but I would think that a head rest on one of the seats would be considered a basic part of the vehicle. It would have been nice for them to at least disclose a list of items that were not included compared to the original state of the vehicle.
We enjoy the vehicle a lot so far, but just extremely dissapointed with the details mentioned above. I would have expected so much more from a top of the line brand like Infiniti but so much for hopes and expectations.
