I had the time and the money for a tune -up on my 2011 Scion XB (which I absolutely love and enjoy driving) so I stopped into Tri-State (where I bought the Scion XB in April 2014) at 10am on a Friday morning in August 2015. My son has kept up with the oil changes, changing filters, and changing brakes since the time of purchase. I have put 4 new Firestone tires on her and I felt it was time for a tune up. I had put 30,000 miles on the car (bought it at 22,000 miles) with a 50 mile 5-days-a-week commute as a teacher; four months of driving from Southbridge to Cambridge; four weeks of driving from Southbridge to the University of Hartford, Connecticut Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm; and a few trips to Cape Cod and Provincetown. The receptionist was booked with appointments for the day and told me it wasn't time for a tune up yet but the service manager had heard my speech and intervened. Sean took care of my car in little more than an hour because she was in pretty good shape. Although I can still feel the pain of $354.25 for labor on $174.38 worth of car parts I am secure in the knowledge that the car has been thoroughly looked over before what promises to be another tough winter in Massachusetts. Thank you Tri-State Toyota for hearing my plea and your efficiency in the checklist review of my awesome ScionXB 2011. Also, thank you to the cashier who was so helpful and informative when she reviewed the bill and suggested a time frame for my next visit.
