It is the same consistent problem,s of not having a knowledgeable person work on your truck. This time the air filter housing was not secured at all!! Another time the tire lugs were so over tightened it took the guy over 1 1/2 hours to get them off with power tools, thank God I never got a flat or I would of been screwed!! Anothe time the guy left a gator aid bottle in the engine compartment to catch the oil run off. Oh lets not forget the torn seat in my new Special edition Tundra that still needs to get fixed!!

The salesman I dealt with was new and inexperienced with the Highlander, but what questions I had, he promptly found answers for and he pursued other issues to help walk me through the purchase process. It was a pleasure dealing with him and his demeanor was a favorable contrast to what I found at other Toyota dealers. Communicating with him by e-mail was efficient for me and he responded promptly by phone when needed. The deal I was initially offered was favorable and it beat what Herb Chambers offered in discount and financing. All others I met at Tri-State were pleasant and helpful.

The personnel at Tri-State Toyota are excellent. All were friendly, professional, and worked with me on questions. Definitely 5 stars or more. Absolutely no complaints.

On the other hand the amount of labor that was charged was overboard.
1. diaganostic charge $118 for 1 hour. If it is taking the computer an hour to diagnose the problem, there is a technical issue. My guess is that it takes 1/2 hour or less. If repairs need to be made there should be 1 half hour left toward the repairs.
2. Spark plugs take about 30 min. to replace.
3. the ignition coil takes 30 min. to 1.5 hours.
4. The charge per hour is at the highest level plus charging for additional time, 4 hours.
I love my Toyota RAV4, it has run very well and there have been minimal problems with it. The next time a recall notice comes it is going in the trash. That little recall notice ended up costing me $1400 + for two visits & the problems they found.

Everything went very smoothly. I was able to bring my car in as soon as I arrived for my appointment. Andrew was available to sign me in immediately, kept me informed as to what was going on (this was a 40000 service), the waiting room was clean and stocked with juice and coffee. I was pleasantly surprised when Andrew told me there was a coupon for the synthetic oil that was used and applied that to my bill.

I was very pleased and will continue to come the Tri State for my service needs.
