This truck has been going strong (strong is a relative term) for 25 years. And, I expect to get at least another 5+ years by continuing to treat it like my child. On the down side, it has no power and lots of road and wind noise. I'd buy another Nissan except that today, they're all too big and too costly to buy/operate for my light duty homeowner needs.
My '83 Nissan P/U (2.0) has valve ping after eng reaches operating temp. I've changed timing chain, EGR valve, adjusted timing. Engine runs rich but I can't see any carb adjustments. I have 110,000 miles and truck is in EXCELLENT condition. Can you give me the likely cause and remedy?
