I love my 2000 Honda CRV - manual drive. I bought it used in 2003. It is the little SUV that could! I use it for
everything. Basic daily driving, road trips to Colorado, camping trips up north, tail gating at Hawkeye games (I'm from
Iowa City), hauling (moved everything in my entire house in it except for my couch), its good for bad weather (all wheel
drive!), some easy off road stuff - like the dirt road to my fishing spot, landscaping supplies - bricks blocks sand
cement plants trees (it has a sun/moon roof), remodeling materials, business trips and funerals. Gets good gas mileage.
It is VERY useful and dependable. Down side > I wish the ride was better and it was quieter but it did come with a boze
6 CD player so that makes up for some of the noise. I plan to have it for the next 30 years.

Questions & Answers

A: how long does the timing belt last?

1200,000 miles - 1,200,000 miles? I think the answer would be "all of them!" :)

A: 2k8 CRV- want to defeat (turn off) automatic door locks?

When you find out - LET ME KNOW - my CRV locks itself and it only takes about 30 seconds. It can't be undone by me or my mechanics!!!! Very problematic! I keep the back window popped because I am afraid of getting locked out. I did once and they had an awful time getting into the vehcile! Used an air bladder and twisted the driver's door slightly - I don't want to go through that again! Bluegreenjeans.
