Q: body drain clogged?

Water accumulates in body during rainfall backing up onto the rear floor area. where are the drains and how do I open them?

A: body drain clogged?

You can hear lots of water sloshing around under the rear seat. Sometimes, it flows all the way to the front on the passenger side. I have been vacuuming the water out frequently with a Little Green Machine carpet cleaner. I recently had a mechanic drill a hole in the pan underneath the vehicle. water gushed out, but the problem remains. Apparently, the water that runs off the convertible top and down around the rear window and rear side windows is not flowing out through the body drains. I have both the Haynes manual and the Chilton manual for our 1998 Sebring Jx convertible, but neither has any mention of body drains. Both Haynes & Chilton told me to contact a Chrysler dealer. That is what I am trying to avoid as a dealer can very easily charge you $800 for a $25 job.
