I have a 1986 S10 Blazer 2.8L V6 and the connecting rod is ovaled out. So I need a new connecting rod. I looked everywhere online and called many salvage yards and couldn't find anything. It says its discontinued but they have to be available somewhere because people restore them. Does anyone know where I can get a connecting rod for this vehicle?
I'm trying to take off the steering column that is connected to the steering box on my 86 S10 Blazer 4WD and I got the nut off but it seems so rusted on there is like its welded together. I tried using a hammer to hammer it out and I also have been constantly spraying it and letting it soak in WD-40 and Liquid Wrench but it still won't budge. Are there any tips or special tools to do this? I'm trying to get this off to lower my front differential to lower my oil pan.

I need to take off the exhaust pipe in order to change my rod bearings. I have taken off the starter, cross member and bell housing to try to make room to get the oil pan out to change the rod bearings. But the exhaust pipe is in the way to take any of that stuff out so its all just loose under the truck. I need to take the exhaust pipe off in order to slide everything out in order to get to the bottom of the crankshaft. I can't get the exhaust pipe off because it holds tension through springs and either way I turn it, it locks and tightens... (I sprayed WD-40 on it constantly and still nothing).. is there a certain way or a trick to get the bolts off?
