Mechanic Q: separated transmission fluid..how change?

Car was runniung great about 10 years ago. Now, out of storage, I want to make run great ahin, but know one thing need to worru about is transmission fluid, separated after sitting for so long. Can I just exchange fluid and mayeb add transmission repair fluid or must I completely drain and replace pan seal?
