Car stopped dead and wouldn't restart. no prior noises, etc. Bought it used but still under warranty and extended one too....Said that camshaft sensor went out. When replacing sensor noticed compresssion issues. Saw timing belt had 'jumped' two teeth. Sent out to machine shop and so far confirming two bent valves. But they don't know why bent. Read that betl will cause this in a interference engine. Any thing I should be asking them???
ty...turns out it was covered by manufacturer warranty as it was engine part failure. but oh the agony of getting all parties to get it all done and cover most of my car rental..fortunately I had added warranty that covered days,,,car warranty didn't....but it took a month to get my car back...worst experience of my life...had to call and call to find out what was going on....worst service EVER ! But have new engine in a car that already had 50,000 on it...so not a bad deal in the end..... ty for your response!
