Mechanic Q: Clutch Pedal to floor?

I have a 20001.8 A4 Quatro, The clucth pedal went almost to floor. Clutch engages with 2 inches to floor. I also notice some slipping at higher RPMs. Can this be a Clutch slave cylinder problem or clutch? Thanks
