Mechanic Q: Why won't my car start??

My car starts some days and not other days. The engine turns over fine it just won't go. Sometimes it will start then be sluggish and shut off again. I've had my fuel pump changed and the fuel filter. I'm not sure if it's electrical or bad fuel pressure or what else could be making it not want to start

Sometimes it will start but then the RPMs instantly drop and it shuts off and won't start for a few more times or until waiting for a bit. Is that another symptom of a bad distributor?
