Mechanic Q: Rough ride?

Feels Like>> Vehicle is sluggish>> When I need passing power and press the accelerator to the floor>> Yes>> When I press the gas pedal to go faster, it feels like not enough gas is getting to the engine...i can feel vibration-type under my feet...general rougher-than-usual ride. Does same thing if I back up and press gas pedal in reverse.
