Mechanic Q: Please tell me where Navigation disc is inserted?

Hi- I've read in the flip up system on the dash but I cannot find a way to open it or insert it. I read it goes in the on the front of the dash Where there is a slot.I tried that & it does not accept The disc. I read it goes in the rear of the car on the left side but I can't find it. Thank you.DB
