what would cause the truck to start, then die out,, and after about 10 minutes, start again wth no problems,, we thought it may have been a vappor lock,,, this has happened 3x recently.

my manufacture warranty will be up this month, i made an appt for a maintenance check before warranty will be up,, and was told, i need a transmission flush, coolant flush, pc valve change, spark plug check, gas filter. i already did the oil change, new tires myself recently. This visit is costing over $400,,, Is this normal and is all this needed?
