Mechanic Q: My bumper has been scraped on both sides of the front bumper.?

Lexus suggests that I replace the whole bumper and get help from my insurance. I'm afraid if I do that my ins. premium will go up a lot. Please give me your opinion: 1)should I take the Lexus Dealer's advice? 2) should I go to an auto repair shop, see if they can repair the existing bumper and pay for it myself? (hoping it will be less than the $1500. the Lexus Dealer estimated) or 3) drive it as is? I really like this car. It has given me no trouble and I plan to keep it as long as possible.
