I have been using the same brand of oil for my honda since purchase in 2001. I am having trouble finding a place that uses that brand. Can I change the brand of oil?

i HAVE A 4 DOOR HONDA CIVIC AUTOMATIC. YEAR 2000 WITH LOW MILEAGE. MY SHIFT LEVER GETS STUCK BETWEEN PARK AND REVERSE OFTEN. iT TAKES A LOT TO GET IT UNSTUCK . iT DRIVES FINE EVERYTHING ELSE IS NORMAL. iS THIS AN EXPENSIVE PROBLEM? THANKS D. LURZ
