Mechanic Q: I need to tow the car From Olympia, WA to Palm Springs, CA?

Can I tow it safely behind my truck using a two wheel dolly with the cars rear wheels on the pavement or should I put it on a full 4-wheel tow trailer. Thank you for your reply. Peggy
