Mechanic Q: My car is loosig power when I step in the gas pedal. ?

What should be the problem when I step on the gas pedal and the car is stalling. then at a higher speed is running well, but when I loose the pedal the car turns off. I see smoke leaving out the exhausting system when I do that. Is it the spark plugs or a problem in the exhausting system?
