I recently replaced spark plugs and wires because the engine was starting hard. After replacing the plugs and wires, I could not get the car to start. I kept pumping the gas and got the engine to ilde. I ran a computer diagnostic and got an error code "P0171 system too lean (bank 1)."
What can cause this and would this keep the car from starting clean?
I have a 2006 buick rendezvous. Was needing to press accelerator to start engine. So I replaced plugs and wires. After which, the engine would not start. After revving engine, got engine to idle, although it was a rough idle. I was able to get a computer code, P0171 - System Too Lean (Bank 1). What can cause this error and is it related to my starting issues?
