Question: 1955 vw bus does always idle?

My bus will at times idle just fine and other times will not idle at all. If it has stalled, say at a stop, it may not restart.

I would start by changing your ignition points and condensor. They have a electronic points system so you never have to replace the points again. Napa auto parts sell them. If you don't buy the electronic points you should still start by changing your points and condensor. Then check your carb.
