Question: 1979 Cadillac

my trans wont start moving when I put the car in drive in cold weather. When the car warms up the trans is fine. What can this be?

Sounds like either the valve body is sticky or a clutch pack is starting to fail. Have a transmission shop check it. Also could be low fluid level. Make sure it is correct.
