Question: 1986 f150 6 cylinder stalls when warm

it stalls out when it warms up as if i were shutting it off with key, i replaced carb and map and no change, it runs great till it gets warm

sounds like the ignition module is failing when it gets hot. Very common failure in 80s Fords. That is where I would start.

I replaced that and it hasn't changed, I'm am completely stumped, I also pulled the thermostat so it didn't heat up and it still shuts down

You really need to determine if it is spark or fuel that you are losing. I suspect it is spark from your description.

If it is loss of spark, check the crank position sensor as well. They can act just like an ignition module (heat up and ail, then work fine when cool)

If it's fuel, Check fuel pressure and quantity to rule out the pump failing when it heats up.
