Question: 1st Service


I am concerned that following the 1st service
( 6700 miles only) I drove my vehicle 8 miles and checked the oil . I expected to see a golden colour new oil,but what I saw was thin black oil.
Do you think that I should be concerned.
The main dealer states that the oil used is Castrol Magneta 5W/30

That could be from the new engine breaking in. Did you ask the dealer if that was normal for your engine?
