Question: 2001 Daewoo Lanos a/c intermittent cooling

HI: I live in the tropics (80 degrees + every day). The A/C used to blow cold air but used to blow warm air for about a minute every now and then, and then blew cold air again. However, since yesterday it blows cold air for a just while (12 mins) and then just warm air keeps blowing out , having to turn it off and open the windows. If the car is cold and the temp is "fresh" it works for a while but then it does the same thing again. can you give me advise on what it might be? My belief is that it's a clogged condenser or a clogged valve. What is your advise? Thank You!!!

If you have a clog in the line it will freeze up. So pop the hood and look for ice on the line. But I would think it has to do with the A/C compressure clutch. To find your problem you will need tools for the A/C system. It will be cheeper for you to get it looked at by a shop.

Thank you so much for your reply. I took it to a shop and It ended up being a damaged valve inside the compressor. Not a cheap fix when you add up all the procedures in order to fix it but much better than having to replace the compressor.

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
