Question: 2001 Explorer: Clock works 5% of time. Why?

I need a 2nd opinion on this problem: The clock in my Explorer works (is visible) 5% of the time. I suspect the cause is related to the electric source to it; but. that's about it.

Can anyone, please, direct me to the possible causes and solutions?

Probably the clock itself is bad. Check the power to it and it's ground. If they're good, the clock may have a loose connection internally.
