Question: 2001 Kia Rio Right front drive half shaft
I have a factory manual and it doesn't show the parts accurately and I am hoping you can assist in solving this problem. While changing the bearings in the front right hub, the axle at the tripod joint slipped out of the tripod housing as there is no stopper ring as the book shows. Am unable to reinsert the tripod joint in to its tripod housing. The drive shaft was replaced 5000 miles ago and appears to be in good shape. The shafts that the tripod bearings go on seem to be real tight when you, start to insert them in the housing.
