Question: 2002 Subaru Forester auto-dimming rearview mirror does not work

The mirror is supposed to dim automatically at night but its like this during the day too. When I press on the mirror I can see liquid stuff squishing around. Is there any way to drain this liquid out and just use it as a normal mirror? I can not afford the price of a new one.
Thanks.
Cory J.

If you can't replace the mirror, get a mirror that straps over the oem one. "Broadway" mirrors are actually pretty nice and improve your visibility... and they are pretty cheap.
