Question: 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP loses electrical while driving.

I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand prix gtp, and twice recently I have lost all power(electric) while driving. After the first time, I was able to throw it in park, remove the key, and start it up immediately. With help from a friend, we figured out I needed a new fuel pump, but didn't think this could cause a total loss of electrical. We checked the fuses and relays, and the fuel pump relay wasn't seated correctly, so we took it out and inspected it. It was burning to the touch, so we decided to switch it out with an identical unused one(high beam). Worked for about a week. Today when it happened for a second time, putting it in park and removing the key didn't work, so I hopped out into traffic, switched the two relays again, and had power back. After pulling into a parking lot I inspected the fuse/relay box again and this time ALL of the relays were burning to the touch. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds like you may have a short in the fuse box.

You need to have some diagnostics done on the electrical circuit to see what is causing the problem.

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
