Question: 2006 Jetta TDI stumbles

When driving, at around 1500 rpm, periodically the engine stumbles as though the driver turned off and on the ignition switch, quickly, a couple of times, so that the engine momentarily shuts off then on again. No causes I can determine. Problem does not throw any defect codes at any time.

Maybe a fuel pressure issue. Hard to say for sure. Check the engine and transmission computer for any stored fault codes (regardless if the warning lamp is on or not!)
