Question: 2009 Subaru Forrester 30,000 mile tuneup.

Why did my Subaru Mechanic want to install "Partial Platinum Spark Plugs" instead of PLATINUM SPARK PLUGS, at 32,000 miles? He said the Platinum Plugs are only installed in the Turbocharged models of the Forrester.

For the non turbo engine the plugs are listed:

Spark plug

Manufacturer and type NGK: FR5AP-11 Laser Platinum Premium Spark Plug
