Question: 2oo3 ford focus recently i changed a motor ,went in fine went start it i smelled a wire burnning in


2oo3 ford focus recently i changed a motor ,went in fine went start it i smelled a wire burnning in car!
i may have shoted the starter wire and selinoid wire together in the plastic seperator at the starter
now when i put the meter on it its not reading the computer i can get the stater to crank hard wire
but no spark even with ignition on?

The hardest part of an engine swap is figuring out what you broke when you installed it...
There are many reasons why there would be no spark, and the best way to find it is to treat it like a normal no-start, and troubleshoot methodically. Here's an article with some steps to follow (assuming the starter cranks normally when the key is turned):
