Question: 5.7 hemi magnum with brake and engine trouble.

Feels Like>> Abnormal braking>> My brake pedal travels much farther (closer to the floorboard) than it used to>> No>> No>>
Also engine light code P0440. Something about evap system but not sure where to go from there. Only comes on every now and then and truck has rough idle and trouble driving when getting into higher rpm's.

Sounds like maybe a vacuum leak to the brake booster? Otherwise the problems are likely unrelated.

Have the brake system checked out. A low pedal is usually a bad master, or a leak/air in the lines.

P0440: Evaporative Emission Control System Malfunction

This could be an issue anywhere in the EVAP system. From a bad gas cap to a leak in a line, or a failed purge valve etc.
