Question: 84 bonneville engine swap rebuilt

Hi
Paying for a rebuilt longblock v8 5.0, what should the labor hours be to remove old engine and reinstall same kind of engine? Thanks, no such choice on your automated estimate thingy. Normal area vs. severe weather area, state is OK. 122000 original miles on original engine leaving. And what cost for a surefire rebuilt with 3 year warrantee engine? (Core traded in)

If the estimate doesnt specifically tell, what is the labor portion for reconnecting all the emissions hoses, vacuum lines, carb hoses, pcv hoses, sensors, tranny, etc to new engine, in hours? (at least 20 of them if not more) Thanks

The repair cost calculator is still in beta, so for an estimate you're going to be better off calling a repair shop. The estimate for an engine r&r means the complete job, there is no separate estimate for installing the engine and not hooking it up.

The flat-rate time for the job should not vary if the job is the same. The only thing that should change from shop to shop are the shop's labor rate, and the price of the parts. Hope that helps.
